Every day I must remember I still have choices. What's yours?

A Survivor By Choice. Also a Phoenix - my "spirit animal" if you will, even though it is a mythical creature. I have risen from the ashes so many times, not just from cancer! I am sober 28 years and have survived carbon monoxide poisoning TWICE! The second involved my car emissions, so gasoline was involved - 3 months of it! I have a mild yet somewhat disabling brain injury from these. I am very intelligent, otherwise. I believe in honesty. I am very upfront, as you see. Being and living spiritually has been my life sober, so a spiritual partner is important to me. I am not religious, however. I believe in kindness. Compassion. Listening. I believe that no one can judge the level of pain someone else is in. My experiences have taught me so much...validation means everything to a human being. When I had these experiences I listed above, I LOST friends. Yes, even cancer. They were there initially. but they disappeared. People don't know how to act when it comes to suffering! I believe WE do!
